Trimeria was founded by Jay and Jaydee Azavari
Trimeria represents our family, our land, and our commitment to transformational work.
We work and play within the worlds~ cultivating
Altered States, and the Beauty of Evolution.
Plants are our medicine, community is our vehicle,
and evolution's edge is our guide.
I have been working with trauma for 25 years. In my late teens I began a ten year period of exploring plant medicine and shamanism as a participant, student, and as a facilitator.(holding space) In 2006 I studied vibrational medicine with Fabien Maman at the Tama Do Institute, focusing on resolving dissonances in the physical and subtle bodies. In 2008 I was introduced to Somatic Experiencing and the work of Dr. Peter Levine. I instantly recognized SE as a powerful tool profoundly reminiscent of my shamanic experiences. Somatic Experiencing articulates a template for working with the nervous system with the aim of building greater resilience.
Recently, I have been studying TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises), a method designed to access and release stuck trauma in the body using a series of simple exercises to activate the body's 'tremor' mechanism.
In 2019, I completed a 515 hr. clinical massage program with an emphasis on structural balancing. Coming to massage from a background in trauma work, I was struck by the many similarities in approaching physiology and the nervous system. My teacher would often say 'traumatized muscles react similarly to traumatized individuals'. I have a passion for functional movement, human resonance, and the symbiosis that exists within and without.

I am dedicated to bridging different health care communities together, through facilitating women and families during rites of passage such as birth and death. These potent moments bring a new existence into manifestation, and are the crux of being fulfilled, happy and alive!
In the realms of transformational studies, I integrate the work of Arnold Mindell and Community Mediation, Mantak Chia, Peter Levine, and of Stephen Harrod Buhner, to name a few. My commitment to holding space while people find their way to greater expressions of themselves and their lives, is inherent in all the work that I do. From an infant to an elder, these concepts apply to us all. I have spent time in my life working and playing as a Special Education Teacher, Home School Teacher, Raw Vegan Food Nutritionist & Caterer, Postpartum Doula, and Board Member to Non-Profits such as Sacred Birthing, The Matrona Foundation and The Global Leadership Network.
I am also the mother to five children, all of whom were born at home.
